I think pricing may depend on whether there is a change in approach from Ferrari as has been speculated.
If there is to be a LE 488VS (not just an Aperta) at the end of the 488's life then a jump from £208,000 (Speciale list) to £275,000 for this car feels a lot even factoring in our current UK exchange rate.

 

As reigning 'Ferrari Model Name Prediction' champ with my successful prediction of the '812 Superfast'. Based of this latest information I will predict this will called the 488 LieuFerrari because it's so fast you can have it in lieu of a LaFerrari at a fraction of the price.

 

Monaco? As in Dodge Monaco. Dodge now part of FCA.

 

From the photos of the leaked presentation of the first slides we can see people holding their phones taking pictures etc. I suppose tomorrow will be the public presentation of the press photos keeping the name for Geneva.

 

At what stage might we get an idea on production numbers?
I was hoping that my dealer would return next week with an estimate of his likely annual allocation, but I guess it may be too early.

Kidding? This thread alone has been driving speculators daily. Long waiting lists, all sold out, special qualifications, faster than an LaF, better than Mac, GTO moniker, etc. Yeah, short term flipping ain't gonna happen big time. The interesting part to watch is how many and how low a price the 488s show up for quick sale.

I will hazard a guess on the name: "488 Monza"

My runner up is "488 Monte Carlo".

I guess we will know soon enough. Based on the evidence so far, I am really excited to learn more and its very tempting!
