I was going to pose a question asking why the NA car had 10 less HP vs Euro cars. What are the other reasons? The premium fuel in Europe is higher in octane I think, 98?

Correct. To my knowledge pre-cats, fuel, and i believe exhaust itself is slightly different...
Now 30years later i am thinking a lot of the US tr are actually somewhat converted with varioua enhancements.
I run nothing but the ansa exhaust, tubi pre cats and test pipes but honestly ; although the sound is better in this set up; I like having the cats on too. Mostly my wife complains about how loud it is and the smell lol

In doing some internetting, I was looking at various images of 512TR's, and I saw a yellow one. I have only seen a couple here and there online, and one locally a few years ago, how many of these were produced compared to the red, silver and black....do these carry a premium compared to the most often seen red?

Honestly, I have seen a premium for red over all other colors, at least in asking prices. I do not know if the same is true for sale prices.

In Ferrari Land it’s referred to as “resale red” for a reason. Rosso Corsa is the most in demand color for Ferrari

They use a different rating system for fuel in Europe. In the U.S. the octane number is R+M/2, Research Octane number plus Motor Octane Number divided by 2. They are just two different methods for coming up with an octane rating. I think the number on the pumps is Europe is only the Research Octane number.

R runs higher than M. So if Europe used the R+M/2 method it would be lower than 98. Don't know how much. Below is a copy of the sticker that came from the factory on the center console of my 1969 L-88 Corvette.

It was! Had a 4.56 rear end and literally got 4 miles to the gallon. Had an 80 mile range and required race fuel. That's how I learned about Octane.

    Sold it in 2008 or 9. :(

L-88 had 12.5 compression ratio, road race engine. Most hi po engines that year were 11.1 cr.

That sir I don't know yet. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Plus since I have waited so long to get one, it's got to be the right one! Either a horse or a bull will be in my garage this year!

Don't suffer from "analysis- paralysis" These cars are older than the chicks I date. They will all have an issue here or there that needs to be addressed.

You will have to go in with the idea of the pros outweigh the cons....then go from there.

Very wise words sir! I definitely agree there. There's a lot to take in from all sources of information. It's going to be tough come crunch time to pick.

Our first decent cruising day since before Thanksgiving, here in Houston. As usual, people love to see a Diablo in the wild.

Be thankful for the choice you have here Mr Todd, hard decision, but no losers.

Testarossa is common car, parts are much more available, where early Diablo parts are coming very rare and expensive. But you really have weight these two; Do you want "easy" (not if you compare it to other Ferraris) car or do you want have rare car.
I see Diablo more individual product and Testarossa more mass produced product, both good and bad. I really like Diablo interior, (even with high dash) but I like Testarossa driveability.
I would buy both, because they achive same goal in different way.
I really would like to Diablo had six speed gearbox, it has little bit too long first gear. Also because Diablo was desingn as 4wd car, front suspension is little hard. (front strut is connected to upper whisbone at front)
In TR that belt, diff, fusebox are drawbacks.
