That car needs to be investigated futhermore. it's one of the few car that are not a real One-off but have significant body change that makes them more than a heavily individualized car. other exemples are the 599 GT Aperta (Aperta with GTO bumpers and hood and some sutbtle body changes) and the 612 pavesi one off Not sure about kalikow'"s 612 Kappa. Real one off or belongs to the category above

This black Tdf has to be contextualised because the proverb says that “imitation is the sincerest of flattery”. Ferraris with painted lips go back to the early racing days and the 250 Testa Rossa is a good example since it had them painted in red, white and green. There is also an early black California with the lips painted in red and that makes me wonder which was this Tdf 'ssource of inspiration. My problem with this car is that the front with race inspired winglets is one of the very best design features of the tdf and that seems to be the only bit that has changed. For the worse.
Mario, thanks for doing this research. You are probably on to what inspired the owner to spec this lipstick look.
Photoshopped here but kinda cool. From local Cars and Coffee around 6:30 am or so Image Unavailable, Please Login
Fabulous Ron... the picture editing highlights the bare aluminium... That car needs to be shot under all possible lightenings and camera configuration to really fell he bare metal. I'd be freakin curious to see it in flesh
Agreed, and a bold spec. But if you go to the expense of an homage why add the thoroughly modern visual distraction of yellow calipers?
