Great news! If you know the buyer, you might mention that the owner who had the accident back in 2013 has mentioned he still has some items connected to this car that he would be happy to pass along.

It might, but not because the accident would be less-known there (we live in the information age), but more so because the word "accident" has more of an effect upon the typical USA buyer than a Europe one, I think.

The important thing though is that an enthusiast owns it now.

But then again, this was a US-spec F50 offered at an auction in the US where the US-spec cars carry a substantial premium over a comparable Euro-spec car.

I guess we'll never know... Congratulations to the new owner!

Anyone knows why there are is so few material about Rosso Barchetta F50s? It's really hard to find pics or videos of those cars (with few exceptions like the psygnosis car that raced in UK) even though there are much more Rosso Barchetta units than Argento Nurburgring or Nero Daytona ones.
Even at auctions it's the rarest color to see.
I've seen personally one F50 Rosso Barchetta side by side with a Rosso Corsa one and I think the former is a gorgeous tint that strikingly suits F50 lines.

In August 2008, its engine was REPLACED (not rebuilt) at 53,698 miles. Therefore, the current engine has accumulated just under 10,000 miles.

You might be aware, but that UK example you mention was 103496 which was imported to the USA in 2000. It was subsequently resprayed in Giallo Modena for Preston Henn, so that's one less possible Rosso Barchetta example around. I only recently learned the second half of that story myself despite being aware of that car's arrival here from the articles written by Mike Sheehan.

I also wish there were more chances to see the less common F50 colors. I've never crossed paths with a Silver, Yellow or Rosso Barchetta car.

Sure thing. :) That story can be pieced together from the details here:

    https://www.ferraris-online.com/pages/cardetail.php?reqcardir=FE-F50-103496

...and then these images below by Keith Bluemel which he ID'd as #103496 in Henn's collection.

Also, Sheehan's two articles written for SCM on the import process of this car offer an entertaining account of the joys of dealing with government agencies:

Gorgeous shot. The F50 is becoming cooler with each passing year.

Not my photo - taken by Nicholas Bijan as you can see in the upper left. As far as I know, the car is still there this morning. Wonder who bought it/if anyone bought it.

F Cars in post 1405 in this thread confirmed that the car went to an enthusiast owner who intends to keep the car and drive it. Looks like he might be taking a road trip home.
