The picture of the installed steering rack without inner rod ends implies that you put them on after the rack is on the car. How would you get the boots on afterward? There is not much room in the tunnel for that.
To many techs damaged the boots sliding the rack in so we just do it afterwards now, the whole jobs a pain from start to finish regardless.... glad its over. Alignment. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I agree. That steering rack is a huge pain in the ass. This is where you wonder "couldn't the designer make that tunnel 1/2 inch wider?"
