LWB California Spyder 0937GT is said to be the Brigitte Bardot car but other sources state the first owner as being Jean-Claude Simon. Roger Vadim who was previously married to Brigitte Bardot also owned 1959 LWB California Spyder 1283GT as well as SWB 2175GT, and although they remained in contact and worked together after they are said to have divorced in 1957.

Speaking of California spiders, I seem to recall a movie with Sophia Loren where she was "rescued" by a gent in a red California when her car broke down.
    Any info on the car?

The caption for the Jack Palance photo is incorrect. He is sitting in an Alfa 2600 Spider, not a 250 Cab

Yes - thats correct! I saw the movie various times and Palance drove an Alfa Romeo. Since when have California Spider those quarterlights??? I expected more from those experts who curated this exhibition...
