Sprint Series in 2000! Someone else won the Endurance Series in 2000!

 

Ferrari are always quoted as planning to build just one less car than the market demands.So it makes sense for them to see how many oders actually come in before deciding on production numbers. Most likely limited due to capacity at the factory.

I have no doubt that Sergio would like to sell 10000 488 vs ..if they had the ability to make them and had that demand.

 

i collected infos/quotes. to get somehow a timeline:

So this Friday we (at least here within EU i guess) should get a final yes or no.
Maybe a 2nd allocation round will follow. Was there another round of allocations at other VS versions - but back than the economy was different... I guess there will be no real/big 2nd allocation round - F have already so many requests that they will just have to switch some clients which suddenly said no or whatever - could be 100 if we take those 2.500-3.500 units world wide but i guess not another 1.000 allocations will follow. They will not play the game as P did the last two years - to will say clear NO - and not that there will be suddenly again a YES. This i guess is not what F wants to do with their clients.

Next week - a brake - we should just look and write to reach 4.000 posts in here.

The week after / on Friday the 16th everbody will see the car - online.

The week after / on Tuesday 20th there is in Swiss a preview / customer event. With the car in the flash alread? I could imagine it - because Geneva is just around the corner.

The most people in Germany got already their allocations. I know many which get this year 2018 the F488 VS. The most dealer get three in 2018.

In Germany too. The invitations was sent round about one week ago. If you dont have one, you will not get one. I also have an invitation and a confirmed allocation with contract.

 

Given that 675 LT followed by 1 year the 650S, it seems unlikely that mecca delays 750 LT for all that time. I think it comes out at most in 2019, if not in Paris 2018, Before or after the BP23 is the question. 488 Successor, (498/499) will arrive almost surely in 2020.

BTW, Congrats for the super 488 GTO, enjoy in good health and if you can bring it at Mugello!! )

agree with Jag and the others here wholeheartedly - take the allocation! I have only had mine for a couple of weeks now - astounding engineering and design - that V12 is to die for - once you have a V12 like this in your hands you will congratulate yourself many times for over for taking the allocation

 

yes, thanks. i just took the 812 allocation for 2019. the GTB would have been a compromise now and i am too poor for that::))

 

Both Modena Cars in Geneva and Zenith in Lausanne have an event planned the 20th. Don’t know for the others but I would assume the same. No physical presence of the cars but apparently a nice video on large screen showcasing the beast from all angles including the « race car type sound » they talked about. I have never been that excited to go to the cinema...if I can get a ticket ...Friday we all know.

Carlo, you must have a constant smile on your face with your awesome Nero 812 beast !! Have you heard about your 488VS allocation. That would be a fab combo to have to decide between in the mornings/unnecessary road trips etc !!

The private 488VS preview is a must for every dealer around the world.

There will be a big Ferrari led screen in the center, mirrors on both sides and a full set of light between them. All this over a full red carpet or red lacquered wood platform.

 

I think we may need a bigger pizza then !

All European dealers I know have about twice as many orders or wannabe orders than allocations they anticipate having.

 

About the 750LT I got that will come in few years from some youtubers Mclaren enthusiast that they bought the 720S because the LT version is not coming very soon. (Solomondrin)

About Mugello? I use to go to Mugello with my bike so my goal is to bring my Ferrari there no matter which one will be. Hopefully the GTO!

Congratulations! I haven’t heard anything although I was promised one and given a pre bill of sale, but no official invite to the Feb 20 event yet...... guess I will have to wait
