Hi I was just thinking that I should get my "owners" badge on here and wondered if there was any members locally that would like to support my application? I have met Bluebottle and sure he would vouch for me and my car, just need 2 more people on here. I'm based in North Devon and happy to provide Tea and Biscuits! To anyone that wants to pop over or meet up and confirm ownership etc.... And then happy to do same etc in return. Regards Michael
I need to do this as well, I've met one member who lives locally to me in Melksham but need a couple more I think... once the weather gets better we could arrange a drive out somewhere in the S/W and kill two birds with one stone?
About mid-way between Exeter and Melksham is the Haynes Motor Museum. They have a "breakfast club" on the first Sunday of each month http://www.haynesmotormuseum.com/events/haynes-breakfast-club-1
Yep great shout and I still think i have a valid ticket from my last visit ! Regards Michael Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Count me in as well. I get mine back from the body shop next week; so as soon as the salt gets washed off the road....brrrm brrrm
A great location, sadly I won't have my car back by then as I'm having garage works carried out at my house so she's safely stored away until her new home is ready - I'll join in on the next run!
Should be ok, but call it closer to the time. Didn't get my car back today as the shop wasn't completely happy with the colour match. Saw the car today and very hard to see but they have great attention to detail.
A dent in rear lower quarter I put in it, doh! mirrors and louvres. Colour swatch looks spot on, car looks spot on under flourecent lights, and most angles in the sun other then 90 degrees on where there is the slightest difference in the colour. It will be going back in next winter for a bit of rust near the battery compartment. There metal work is something else, hand formed panels etc. proper craftsmanship. Hopefully get it back next week. The paint mixer has the filler cap to see if he can match it in which case they will redo the paint or they will blend the current paint up to the top of the panels.
That's really good that you have someone that you can trust to do a great job on her. Hope you get it back soon! Look forward to,meeting up Regards Michael
Sadly I don't think I am going to be able to make 4th. March. My Dino will be in for its annual service etc., the 550 will be up in GLOS., and my daughter is leaving for six months in Paris first thing on 5th., and so the 4th. will be the last day we have together as a family. I'll try to make 1st. April.
I'm out today just going to London in the 488 it's a stunning day and a great drive up on the m5 and m4! Had some fun on the way up roads were pretty empty! Regards Michael Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
I think postponing until April was the right call. Lol. Not sure it’s really ferrari weather given we are currently actually snowed in. Been out earlier and it’s was fairly close to abandoning the car!!! And it’s been snowing for about 3 hours since we got back. And as a Canadian that is saying something!! I’d post a pic but can’t figure out how from an iPhone.
My Dino is still sitting on axle stands, waiting for the wheels to come back from refurbishment, so I don't know whether I shall be able to make it this Sunday.
