Does anyone have a source for the original style valve cover vent clamp that goes over the cloth breather hose? I've exhausted all my regular sources. Thanks!

I'm leaving for Europe next month and have the clamps on my list of things to look for, I will let you know. From what I have read the were made by a French company and have been out of production for awhile.

I am changing those hoses right now myself, and the smaller clamps say made in France on them. They seem pretty brittle and are not particularly easy to use... curious if you end up finding a source, I can see one breaking in my future!

Those look like the same clamps as were used on Fiats of that era.

Exactly. I have a number of them from my X1/9s. I'd suggest checking with Fiat parts suppliers.

Yes they are the same, in fact I threw a box of old clamps of all sizes from my old fiat and Lancia. If I knew they were valuable, I would have kept them.

I'll check Fiat next time I go to Bosch.

If they got um what sizes do you want and how many?

By the part number, the size listed is 23-27mm, which may be indicated on the clamp with "GM 23-27"

I have a bunch of these clamps nos if anyone is interested, all zinc plated / passivated some silver and some yellow. The size stamped on them is 26-30 and they appear identical in size to the original ones I removed.
