I was just asking the question.

As usual Permatroll calls someone a dummy - twice - without explaining why, so I was guessing.

And, as usual. I was right. Twice. :p

I thought maybe CCBs could have been an option on the 360, but it seems not.

Wow. What a hassle it was for the seller to get rid of their imported car.

    Poor Peter.

Scott and I were at the Motor show in Melbourne many years ago when he asked the question re the cost of CCBs on his next Ferrari and they quote something ridiculous and he said they were OTT (hard to imagine Ferrari price gouging  )

Yes. The seller is crying all the way to the bank over his decision to buy an import.

Sold it in one day and probably doubled his money, the poor bastard.

If only he’d listened to you.

    Lol.

So you agree then that he bought an import, enjoyed it, sold it easily, and doubled his money.

Hmmm. That seems to go against everything you’ve said until now.

I feel sorry for the fools who listened to your rubbish advice.

Doubled his money? He sold it for $130k. 360s were never landed, compiled and registered in Australia for $65k. I would say the former owner lost money or broke even. More than likely lost money if it sold for $130k. Imported UK 360s were trading for $160-$220k back in the day.

a great example of fake news, Steve goes from "probably doubled his money" to "doubled his money" in 3 posts, thereafter it's a fact :)

Im not sure your numbers here a quite accurate my friend..

First of all i know for a fact you could get a UK 360 landed for a time between $75k - $100k depending on spec, year, options, condition etc

    2nd He listed it for $157k not $130k ??

For some reason I had 130k in my mind.

Even at 157k the seller did not "double his money". The car for sale was not a low spec 360 so it would have been a 160-180k or more registered in Australia back when they were flooding our shores.

I have been watching the 360 market since 2010 when I first started looking. At the time the mint ones (2003, 2004 models were between 50k to 60k pounds). Anything $100k or less registered in Australia from the UK was always an undesirable colour, ugly coloured interior, high miles (50,000 miles not kms), F1, and 99/00 models with questionable service history back in the day. They were 30-40k pound cars.

I think that's what Adam intimates, sold for $130K , was listed for circa $157k

Still good, if you consider you are buying a dream and it hardly costs you anything to own during your ownership ....... I'd call that a HUGE win in the big scheme of things

Personally I don't see how ANY car is worth such huge money when I can go down the road to KIA and get a Stinger with SEVEN years warranty, a V6 TT that will destroy any 308/328/348 , all the mod cons with leather interior and looks ok for $65K brand new (I still wouldn't buy one because I'm a badge snob  )

Seriously, point out any Ferrari that is TRULY worth the asking price ??

    250GTO = $50M !!!
    La Ferrari = $2M
F355 = $150K (unless it's Steve with the slow gearbox, in which case yu can take the one out of the number :p )
