Looks like you already have! Beautiful OTS - 3.8 or 4.2? Thankyou. Necessity in today's traffic. They work very well and save drilling the bodywork.
Most gorgeous early E-Type I've seen. Coups look best too. Drove one at Goodwood. Best drive of my life with its odour and skinny wheel.
Mines a 66 4.2 , Ive had many as a new book will be coming out ME AND MY ETYPE! They are timeless, NOT PAINLESS, Just timeless , its a love affair but well worth it. More to come. GTJOEY1314
I had a '67 4.2 OTS for a long time. Great car: Image Unavailable, Please Login I decided to go for a 3.8 when I bought my current one, to experience the E-type as it was in the beginning (but not a "flat floor" - I need somewhere to put my feet!).
1965 MARK 2 3.4 STICK SHIFT , RIGHT HAND DRIVE WITH OVERDRIVE....... Caps oops. But still exciting. I love that 1967 with the 6 inch offsets, I did the same as well.
Seems we have much in common (though I have never owned an Aston). This was my Mk.2 ('61 3.8 Mo/d): Image Unavailable, Please Login
Michael Quinn, Bill Lyons grandson , will be coming for a special event at Carlisle Pa in May. Mikes mom was Pat Quinn, who with her first husband Ian Appleyard won all those Alpine rallies from 1950 to 1953 in NUB 120. Anyway , we have become friends only to discover being the same age and both having the same cars in the garage! 1972 series 1 xj6 Series 2 e type series 1 etype and of course the mark 2. Its a great time to own and drive these wonderful ladies. Cheers! GTJOEY1314
I have asked myself that question many times, and may be faced with that decision soon. The cars were purchased for enjoyment, but ended up appreciating much more after I acquired them. Since my oldest daughter is now faced with making a decision on college, I've committed to paying her way through (as well as my younger daughter, when she's ready - but I have a few more years for that). In terms of which car tends to get chosen for a drive - it's the Ferrari. In terms of which car would get sold before the other - it's the Ferrari. I would keep the E-Type.
Whisper it quietly here in Ferrari land, but I think the same goes for me, too. I love my Ferraris and they are undoubtedly superior in every way, but there is something about an E-type that is so endearing. In my case, it may be the fact that it was the sight of an E-type that first got me, at the age of 8, hooked on beautiful cars.
I've sold almost every car that was made but the E Type is the mistress that never goes away! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
