When you cruise along the beach to watch the sunset and your car rolls down to a very slow speed. People turn around, they heard you're coming a couple blocks away. When your car comes close to them and they yelled out to REV IT. I want to hear how many of you are actually "rev it" for people who've asked? Cheer..!

I honor the request 100% of the time.
Especially now that I have Kline exhaust.

I get nothing but thumbs up, smiles and all great compliments.

I always do it, as long as the engine is at normal operating temperature... I even wait for them to switch on their phone camera !! Otherwise I politely decline "sorry the engine is just warming up !!"

As long as there's not a cop nearby.... then you are the "cool Ferrari owner". No reason not to if it makes someone's day better and doesn't cost you anything

Sure, I'll rev it for them. Especially with the AP titanium catback set I'm running. If it makes someone happy, do it.

Truthfully, the engine simply revved in N is kind of a letdown for me. Probably because I know the miraculous transformation of the sound of the engine under power, in gear, and at the redline.
Maybe it's just me. But sitting in the car under those circumstances makes a concert of sound I've never felt was the same as a simple rev up. Especially since most folks once finding out it's a V8 are expecting something akin to the rumble of a Corvette. o_O

I used to but not anymore. I was on the receiving end one time when someone rev'd the car. It startled me as I didn't see the car. I learned that a lot of other people besides the person asking you to rev it (bystanders, homes nearby, people walking around) will not appreciate the sudden burst of noise when they aren't expecting it... Something to think about.

You could say the same above about a truck using a jake brake or a loud motorcycle.

This is spot on, all depends on context and location. In a neighborhood? No. - In the boonies with a car club? Sure.
