I enjoyed the video, great production.

So, I am wondering about his garage- what the heck is that white design in the floor under the Viper - is it lit up somehow, or is it just reflective? It's pretty interesting looking

The viper time was set bya group of owners over a few days, as opposed to a factory backed lambo effort with pro driver. All things considered its amazing the times are thAT close.

Let's remember ... this is a normally aspirated, front engine, rear-wheel drive, stick-shift car.

Yeah, that ancient, out-dated technology :( that beats just about anything out there, on just about any track, for a fraction of the price ;)

I always WANTED to love the Viper but just couldn't. I don't even like it. Nothing about it made me feel like " I gotta get one off these". Yes, it was fast, but making a car fast is the easy part - even I can do that. Plus, although I'm not particularly large at 6' 1" 190 lbs., I just couldn't fit in one. My shoulder rested right against the door and front visibility was terrific - if I wanted to examine the windshield header.

For what it's worth ... the latest/most recent generation Viper allows for a very easy (almost trivial) way to lower the front seat by almost an inch :)

Interesting observation, I have owned 3 Vipers (Gen II, III, and IV) over the last 10 years and fit fine at 6'1' 190 lbs (yes it is a sports car and tighter inside compared to a daily driver). There are seat lowering kits if you get interested in one in the future.
