Thank again guys for the warm owner's welcome. Very happy to finally be here and gives actual purpose to visiting FoA now. I'm hoping to see some Ferrari/Italian oriented get togethers. As of now it seems really light. My buddy is a big F355 fan (me too but can't fit). As with the 458's great styling. My favorite color by far and I can't believe how few are out there with racing seats, low miles, and body colored top! It just pops in the sun. Thank you. I drop the car off on Monday so I can't wait either. The 458 feels a lot wider than the 911 Turbo S so I've been a bit paranoid getting it on my lifts. So today I made some "warning sticks" secured to the floor of the lift. What a difference. 10x easier to load the car now. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Indeed, just spec'ing carbon seats reduces the pool of suitable cars to approx. 15% and additionally spec'ing the carbon racing package decreases the pool to maybe 5%.
Gorgeous. A piece of advice. do the R101 lightweights. The P101 likely will change the dynamics of the car depending on size. I recently removed my ANRKY (made by HRE) wheels because it just ruined it. Went back to stock on Novitec springs. Performs and rides perfectly. I'm in East Cobb. Hopefully shake hands one day. ;-)
I agree 100 % Once you get past that then you have to deal with funky collor combo or funky collored interior. But once you find the perfect car just buy it!
I’m going to try the P101’s just to see especially since there are a lot of happy people with them on 458’s now. I know a guy that loves them so we’ll see. Exactly. I found a number of cars along the way and it was always something. Black roof, high miles, two toned interior, questionable past, tracked a ton, etc etc. Agree 10000%. Seems like some guys are thinking about Avalon as posted in the SE section here. Chime in there. I like Avalon or perimeter where parking is wide open.
Beautiful car! Nothing like patiently searching for the car and then owning it! Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Congratulations, Chris! Beautiful and timeless spec! Wish you many miles of happiness. Enjoy in good health! Kind regards, Nuno.
Funny! Same thing here! I'm very happy with my 360 but after driving a few 458's and hanging out here, the search is on for a 458 [emoji3] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I started originally wanting a 430 but after obsessing over the 458 it was clear where I needed to be. Amazing car, timeless design, and just feels special at any speed.
My story went: Browsing in this section. Being very envious of all these guys having an awesome 458. Rereading all the magazine articles about the 458 and how it was the best car ever. Going on autotrader just looking at prices, never expecting to buy one. Finding a killer deal for a low mileage car with the exact options I would have speced if I ordered one. Selling a Kidney. Buying the car. Begging for forgiveness from my wife. ALL WORTH IT!
The HRE P101's are going to look spectacular on the 458 and they are very lightweight. This is the setup we ran for Tony Kanaan's 458 a few years back. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Before shots..... FoA will lower it ~20mm while putting the HRE’s on as well as have paint correction, new film, and ceramic coat applied. Also interesting to see my rossa scuderia 458 next to 2 488’s that are also Rosso Scuderia as well but how different the colors are. May not truly come throug in photos but the 458 is lighter and has a bit more orange in it (which I really like). Love that story, Buddy! My two cents: In my case, selling a kidney was easier than getting my better half to join the 458 bandwagon (truth be told, nowadays I think she loves the 458 more than myself). And speaking about how the 458 was the best car ever... Here are my favorites (they beat ANY magazine, imho): Enjoy!!! Hope you like it. Kind regards, Nuno.
Picking her up tomorrow morning after her Ferrari of Atlanta spa treatment. They've been fantastic to work with. Some of the best proactive update communications from a car service standpoint I've ever experienced. 1. Capristo valve controller installed 2. Lowered on stock suspension 3. HRE P101's with MSS's installed and aligned with new sensors 4. Old film removed, detailed, new film applied 5. Clearplex windshield application 6. Ceramic Pro coating 7. Delrin front skid plates (these look amazing btw) 8. Interstate battery direct tender/charger connection 9. +A few other odds and ends that needed TLC attention Pictures here are before Ceramic Coating but show the wheels and wheel well gaps reduced.
