Waste of money IMHO. Use a Valentine 1 if Radar detectors are that important to you. Don't hack the car to install a radar detector.

The app Waze has police reporting capabilities and while not always 100% accurate does the job pretty well.

 

Whether or not it’s worth the money is a very individual matter. If you change your cars often then perhaps it isn’t worth spending the money. If you’re someone like me who buys the exact car he wants and it is with him for the foreseeable future and you’re very detailes oriented, then perhaps having a clean install is worth it to you. It is also more discrete if you do get pulled over for whatever reason. Some officers aren't thrilled with seeing the unit mounted on the glass. I bought my SL55 new and had a valentine installed in the rearview mirror. I have loved it ever since and still have the car. That was about 15 years ago though and technology obviously moves forward. Unfortunately, it seems that valentine hasn’t done much in terms of innovation and when researching detectors for my 458 spider, it became clear that the escort 360 just has improved technology. Again, I had it custom installed and the display and controls are integrated into the mirror. See image below.

Sorry, thought you meant radar dealers. Don’t Think I would go with that system

 

Don’t know much about it. From my research escort and valentine are the top two so I tend to stick with those. I’m sure K 40 works, just think the others probably are better

 

Get the newest Escort system. I believe it’s called 360 Max.

I have the K40 360i system in one of my cars and it’s only so so.

 

K40 is a ripoff with great makrketing. Get the 360 Max, laser priority jammers, and use the Waze app. Add a lil common sense and you're good to go!
