Scratch my head sometimes with my car (alot..) ...how do you rivet the fiberglass front nose panel with all this room?? Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
just put valance in place and put rivets in the holes to hold it in place. then use the rivet gun sideways to expand the rivets. Push up on the valence when needed to make it flush with the body before popping the rivets,. That's it. ive stripped my car down to almost a shell twice
Thanks guys. Just got the rack out so this is my next project. I'm going to try rivets 1st... Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Last question- it looks like the us normal valance is very hard to find. Mine was gone beyond repair. Not knowing at the time I ordered the valance with the fog light holes from superpeformance awhile back. I'm thinking of using that and maybe blocking the foglight holes or using fogs. Any thoughts on this other then it not being "origional?" Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Well your old and new are fiberglass. Build up the old with glass and resin and paint black with SEM trim black. If you use the new, same applies. Fill in the foglights with fiberglass
Great idea, didnt know they existed. I found that when I repaired holes and cracks in the valence it changed shape and was difficult to match directly back to the wings. So it was hard work closing the gaps. Other than that several rivet holes were extremely hard to reach. Going to get some of those threaded rivets
Good question. Just like the black strip under the rockers. Some cars do and some don't. But I'm not sure if I've seen a black valance on a euro
I'm not sure how Pinterest permissions go, but if you can access this link you might find some photos that give you clues on 'normal' details: https://www.pinterest.com/phydeaudeaux/the-orphan-gt4/
Thank you, I think I will rub down some of the current black and see if there is an original colour underneath.
