My philosophy of Ferrari ownership is diametrically opposed to that. I put 27K miles on my 456M in 5.5 years.

This makes me sad. That car was made to bring delight into the puny lives of men by being driven.

I think someone with "FU" money should buy it up & simply drive it until it experiences a failure condition that prevents it from running reliably. Other than miles added, surely that shouldn't hurt VERY long term value, so long as repaired correctly, and it would be invaluable as a data point about "driving till the wheels fall off," and what to do after long term storage.

Heck, forget the "FU" money. Somebody buy it & do exactly that as a Velocity Channel "reality show." I'd watch 1/2 hour each week to see it driven about under various conditions & then a full diagnostic of how the car is holding up.

    Wow.
Always nice to see a well preserved original Ferrari, that interior looks immaculate.
Truly 91 is the last testarossa!
    Congrats.
