So, I was talking with Mike this morning about potentially selling my car, and he brought up something I couldn't answer, which was how much did I hope to get for my car? This being my first Ferrari, I'm unsure where to price it should I sell it. I've done some mods that some may love, purists will hate, so of course that comes into play. Car was bought new at Ferrari of Denver, sold to them and them purchased by me and brought to Dallas, TX where I live. Boardwalk Ferrari has performed all maintenance on the car on time and whatever is needed. Full fluid flush 2 months ago. I've added Novitec Springs to the car as well as HRE Wheels. It has a Vorsteiner duckbill lip on the back which can be easily removed, and I have added the LED wheel and shift paddles to the car, both OEM Ferrari products. It has a Eurocharged Tune and a BMC air filter to complete the modifications I've done to it. Car is Grigio Silverstone with Cuoio interior with Daytona seats with the recaro option. Full leather tunnel, shelf and headliner, ipod cable and satellite radio. No lift system, but a very nice car. Car was certified by Ferrari for CPO eligibility when I bought it, but I didn't take them up on it. Drives great and I do drive it as much as I can. Bought with 13k miles and car currently has 16,500-17k miles, I'll have to double check. Car also has new clear bra on the front end up to the roof and fenders, and the entire thing has the ceramic coat pro on it.
All that being said, what is a vehicle like this worth price wise? Where should I price it should I decide to sell? Thanks everyone for your input.

    I also have a 2011 458 but I haven't been tracking the latest prices.

My hunch is you won't get any extra money for the modifications.

A good way to find out the wholesale and retail value of your car is to ask your dealer.
Ask them what asking price they would put on your car if you sell it on consignment (this is usually a fairly high price).
Maybe $180k to $185k these days?

Next, ask them how much they would give you trade-in value on a new 488 if you were to buy it at MSRP sticker (including the sticker option prices).
Don't be shocked if this is $20k to $25k lower than the consignment asking price.
Maybe $160k to $165k these days?

My friend has a similar car in his sights but a 12' with 9k miles for 170k. Same color all stock from a dealer in FL. I like yours better, I think the upgrades suit the car.

Bring it back to stock, you can probably get $170k for it. Sell it as is, you can probably get $160k for it.

I’m gonna say a dealer will allow less than 150 on a trade for a new car. This is based on what I was offered on my 2012 spider with 20k miles and a 335 sticker. It was depressing to say the least.

Yea no kidding. Well, I turned down 150 for it this morning, the car means more to me than that and I don’t have to sell it at the moment. Was jus my curious about value cause I was considering upgrading to that 488 Mike is advertising. Maybe I’ll just twin turbo the 458. :)

I don't think the 458 values have bottomed out yet. The more you wait the more likely $150,000 sounded like a great price. I have an F430 and it is probably 20% lower in value than what I paid but I don't care as I love the car and will keep it till I croak.

That's where I'm at. I love this car every time I see it. Was exploring the possibility of trading up to an awesome deal on the 488, but I really love my 458 and don't plan on selling.

458 vs 488 isn't just as dramatic as many would have you believe. That's keeping the 458's in demand and lowering the values of the 488 quicker than expected. The debate rages on here in threads but that's just reality. I had 2 458s, ordered a brand new 488 GTB spec'd exactly as I wanted it, sold the 488, and now am back in a 458 spider. Just as happy, if not happier (because its a spider). I think your 458 should be returned to stock for maximum value but don't expect more than 150k-ish wholesale and $170k retail.

the car will sell for at least $5K more, if you bring it all back to stock on the exterior...stock this car will sell for $160k-$170k private party if it has a clean bill of health and doesn't need anything.

Finding someone that has $170k or $160k in instant verified funds is truly the hard part. Unless you are ready to wait 2 years (trying to sell it yourself), I think its more realistic to anticipate $140-$150k. All a dealer is going to do is jack up the price to $180 and the first guy to walk in with a briefcase full of ben franklins will walk way with it for $145k.
