My son is graduating soon and he is abscessed with getting an Omega watch.
He seems to think Jonas Shop has the best prices but I’m skeptical about buying from a place that doesn’t offer a warranty.
Does anyone have advice? This is what he is looking for:
    Omega Seamaster-Automatic-Silver-Tone ceramic.

    Any advice is appreciated.

Best guess is they are gray market. You get the dealer warranty, not the manufacturer warranty. If you're comfortable with that, well, then I guess it's ok.

If you're gonna go that route, I'd get it on Amazon, at least you'd have their return policy on your side.

I’d rather go with an AD. If I purchase new I’d like a warranty.

I’m hoping an FChatter can point me in the right direction.
I also wouldn’t be opposed to used if the price is right.

I have bought a few watches from Jomashop and have been very pleased with the process all around. I have never had to claim a warranty so I cannot comment on how they would behave in that process.

There are a few members here with watch stores. Try and contact darth550 as he offered me an awesome price on a new Black Bay. Unfortunately, I just purchased a Yachtmaster for the gf a couple days prior.

Yup, I second Darth500 - I've bought 4 watches from him in the past year and soon will be ordering another one. Ironically, one of the four is the one the original poster wanted - LOL.

My kid graduated in December and wants a Speedmaster. Don't know what it is about Omega's.

My first "Good" watch was a full bar 2-tone Constellation. Also, my father wore Omegas for 40 years.

I'm getting into Omegas, too. I wear them more than the Rolexes.

I hope you get his “abscessed” treated soon.
Btw Omega is a great brand. Very good value.

If you are concerned with ability to resell, then avoid grey market dealers like Joma. Continental Jewelers in DC will give you a break off retail if you ask them. I buy my Omegas and straps there.
I have moved on a fair bit and am focused on Glashuttes. I'll post some photos sometime.
