Under the mats it's all carbon. Tim shows this in his video as well.

They probably did this in order to give the passenger something to hold on to because the driver doesn't need it since he/she will be holding on to the steering wheel.

The carbon fiber floor is an option I guess. On a quattroruote video (italian magazine) they show the inside of the red one and has no carpets and the aluminum floor and they said exactly the difference from the speciale you cannot see the welds.

PS anybody know the alcantara color of the silver car? maybe is charcoal alcantara? thanks in advance

Yes charcoal alcantara. I ordered it in my 488 spider. Looks great especially in the silver and grey cars.

Could be a mat rather than actual floor with the seams on the edges?

Thanks! Beauty is timeless and Argento Nurburgring is a great color for an aggressive good looking car, like the Pista definitely is.

    ciao

Thanks, but that silver is my wife one: I have the same car but in red. I have to admit that Argento looks even better than the red on that car (and the same for the Pista)

coming back in topic, I do love the rear view of the 488 Pista: once it was the worst part of the 488, now is the best one

    ciao

Dealer advised you must first buy theLusso, in order to get the 488 Pista. Talked to a few other dealers and they advised the same thing. If I buy the Lusso., you know your gonna loose 50k or better when u give it back to the dealer, but I guess that' the price of admission to get the car. Any one else in the same boat?

See the thread "Pista allocation" in the 458/488 section near the top of the page. Lots of ideas there about owning a 488 GTB or buying a Lusso to 'qualify' for a Pista allocation.
There is also a frequent comment that the Ferrari factory ultimately has the final say on who gets a Pista allocation. Another detail is your number score with the factory based on your participation buying cars and other events such as the driving schools and other matters that have an effect on your score such as age of the owner and how many Ferrari cars he or she has registered with the factory to arrive at that numerical 'rating' level...

For the 208/308, silver (and some metallics) highlights all the sharp details that are otherwise not evident with red on this design which is a timeless classic because a combination of aggressive profile but smooth surfaces.

On the Pista, although silver is very nice overall, because this car has so much detailing and complex surfacing the red (non-metallic) creates a calmer topography but pops more obviously because of the heat of the color. Also works better with the nicer (for me) alloy wheels.

I noticed the JBL speaker as well. That will be better for sure than the one in Speciale.

Agreed. Maty consider it for the top of the dash, but likely not.

Interior of the silver Pista is terrible looking.
Otherwise, great car in the exterior color choices.

I can't stop looking at photos of the Pista. So Beautiful! I like the red as much as the silver. It's been some time (for me, anyway) since Ferrari has made a visually breathtaking car. Wow.

From my wife when I suggested another color "Ferrari's must be red". No arguments from me :)
