Well, at some point soon I'll be selling both of my 456Ms, one of which is a manual, my 355 and 348 and will settle down with a 512BBi but "my" 512 hasn't come back on the market just yet. But just as heads up, if anyone hears of the ex-AJ Foyt car coming up for sale, that's my baby...

No, that green 456 at FoW is long gone.

Although I own two Ms, I actually prefer the aesthetics of the pre-M cars (the bonnet scoops, row of dials on the center stack, etc..) but at the end of the day, the M cars are quite an improvement mechanically so that was somewhat of a deciding factor when I bought...that alongside the fact that there were no decent early GTs available at the time.

There is a Verde British Racing with tan interior (darker tan/brown dash, steering, and seat piping) 99 456M GT 6-MT for sale at Carriage House Motors in Greenwich, CT. I talked to them 2 days ago about the car. It was originally Tommy Hilfiger's and has about 17k miles. Looks great in the pictures. They're asking $128,500 I believe.

    Hemmings listing is: https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/dealer/ferrari/456m-gt/1933418.html

If you really want green, I doubt it gets much better than this one. Really kills the "Hunt Club" look.

I don't even like BRG on British cars.

The only thing I wish the M had retained is the hood scoops.
I had intended to buy a non-M bonnet with my car (they are interchangeable) but they didn’t come with shields. My M did.
I am one of the heretics that prefer shields and I’ve gotten used to the smooth bonnet.

I also prefer the M interior by a mile.

Except for Daytona seats, my M is exactly how I would have spec’ed the car new.

BTW George, I saw a green 456 during my search. It was stunning. I just didn’t have the courage to buy a green Ferrari

BRG looks like pea soup to me, and I love pea soup. Just don't want a car of any kind that color. I'm a cliche, I guess, but I usually prefer red for front V12's (Not just Rosso Corsa red) and yellow for mid V8's. The exception I usually encounter are some of the silvers. My 308 is silver, because it looks better to me than red or yellow on that car.

The 456M needs to be red with shields and a tan Daytona interior for me. So glad I got that car as my first Ferrari.

Well, that's what makes things interesting. The M I recently added to the fleet is Verde Zeltweg which I am a big fan of. My other one is Blu NART. I enjoy the more low key colors, especially on exotics. My old Lotus Elise was the classic non-metallic BRG and that's the only color I wanted it in and thought it looked stunning. I do. I like them both, but I strongly prefer the look of the original, especially the hood coves. I would give the nod to the M on interior layout, but not a strong preference. I have the sense the M is a bit buggier on electrics (especially the immobilizer) but could be total wrong about that.

Glad you guys like BRG, but it's the biggest nope color there is for me. The BRG 456M makes me cringe.

Hahaha, the description of the circumstances surrounding his acquisition of this car are beyond sketchy ("I recently came into contact with a gentleman who owed me a large sum of money and this car will go towards his dept. (sic)".

Ah, and this car is in overall excellent condition, though it needs TLC in the form of a $5000 - $10000 repair that will ensure "some sort of message not sending properly to the central computer" is rectified. Uh huh...

    Buy with confidence!

I'm confident the title will be damn near impossible to procure while the deferred maintenance rings the register!!

    And yet, the Oro Chiaro....buwahaha

I actually called the seller and left him a message today but never got a return call. I would be curious to know if he's actually going to sell this car at no reserve or if he has buddies shill bidding on it. Misfire at idle is definitely slightly concerning although probably not a huge ordeal. I'd be more curious about the gauges that are not functioning as that could indicate a problem with the fuse board.

If I ever hear back from the guy, I will be sure to let you all know. What the hell, may as well have a third 456!

Would't that be something. You never know, if it really is no reserve you might get it for 30k.I doubt it but I thought it was quite the entertaining set of comments.

Yeah. In all likelihood I'll probably bid on it but I'll wait till it's near the end so I can see where it's sitting at that point. I don't know what my limit would be but given the issues he listed, not to mention the fact that Grigio Ingrid is a color for a very specific buyer, I'm probably out at anything above $40-45K.

When I was looking for a 550 Grigio Ingrid was the only color I was willing to consider, didn't even want to look at any other color.
