Good morning Fchatters. I will be at the show today

 

What are your thoughts on the Pista Mel?

 

Mel - I was there with my son and my lanyard from 11 until 12 today, but did not see any other lanyards either! It's a shame not to have met other FChat members but it was very crowded. We thought the 488 Pista looked sensational.

 

Will be there Tuesday. My local Ferrari dealer in Dallas says no preferred access for owners that they are aware of? Called a dealer in Salt Lake that I bought a car from and he said they would get back to me and never did.

 

My dealer supplied me with a letter and code which gets you into the Ferrari stand - you can get up close to the cars and there are drinks and some light snacks. If you can't get into the stand you will be kept a few yards back where it is quite crowded. I would suggest giving your dealer another call to see what they can do.

 

Unfortunately I did not attend this year sir.

 

Thank you, I’ve given up. Literally made 4 calls, sent two emails. Always had to follow up on my own. We leave today.
Maybe I’m not a high value client. You can spend $300k with Ferrari and be treated like a no body.

 

That’s a shame. The staff at the entry to the stand were quite friendly and so maybe if you let them now you’re an owner you will get in. Good luck!

Thanks will give it a shot. My McLaren dealer much more responsive so we will have a good experience regardless

Seen Mr Fillon (former France prime Minister and unsuccessfull Presidential election candidate) in the Ferrari booth - probably because soon, only politicians will be able to afford these cars ( they're the ones spending the money the others give away as taxpayers )

 

I was there on the 9th and 10th just got back home after two full days of corporate hospitality on the behalf of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Porsche and Mclaren. The best food was in Porsche but the best free flowing drinks we're in Lamborghini.

As for the cars the Mclaren Senna has to be seen in the flesh to be fully appreciated, and the Pista is simply sublime. I also love the carbon wheels and the red one would be my choice for this car. The Porsche stand was pretty boring on terms of cars as there was no GT2RS. As for the Aston stand it was very cool and sedate just like my DBS

Overall it is a great show and we are so lucky to have so many great wonderful cars.
