How many years has it been since Senna passed away? Hamilton will NEVER be considered better, even if he has more WDC's So yeah, keep your statistics.
I don't think so. Look at how people still admire the likes of Sterling Moss, Villeneuve (Gilles obviously, not the twerp offspring), Ronnie Peterson. Now with the exception of Moss, they all passed before they could win a WDC, but they are all held in esteem far higher than their results would suggest. I'm a life long McLaren fan. I never have been and never will be an Alonso fan, but I admire him deepley. I'd place him and LCH neck and neck with either of them capable of being the best on any given day. Vettel I place >< much behind them although I think he's driving better now, except for way too many brain farts, than he was in his dominant Pink Cow days.
Mclaren look like amatuers in this tyre change..... They better get this crap sorted out!!! http://www.skysports.com/iframe/widget/video/RnczZtZTE6OmwJhxOeO8gYd1wBVkmUvY
yep.....he needs two blowers.....one in that area (bodywork) and the other pointing at the brakes....both guys need 2 blowers.
Because it's "so hot" in Barcelona today! This was no accident. He was told to do it over the headphones.
Hilarious. Rumour has it that due to budget restrictions, pit personnel have been recruited direct from McDonalds for 2018,as they are way cheaper than the 2017 guys, then they get on the job training in Barcelona. One of the new guys said 'i am eggstremely excited by this new opportunity,i have increased my minimum wage of $ 5 an hour to almost $10!' A McDonald's spokesperson said he is not at all Happy about his staff being Poached by Ronald's ex team, who evidently used Berger to negotiate the new value deal....
Opened the laptop, went for reading about the testing today. First update? McLaren comes to a halt. Seriously, what the flower are they doing?
Can't blame Renault anymore, they only have themselves to blame now...Appears they've build the car too tight again and it's causing issues everywhere.
Agree Bas, but i dont know if it is from the F1 atmosphere, but they show NO CONCERN at all... no statement like "we have to check some details".... Was trying to root for them this season (apart from Fezza), but they are making it difficult.
They're very consistent aren't they Yep. Mclaren being Mclaren they're the ''mortal enemy'' so to say, but even I was happy to see them do well after struggling so much. But now this is all due to their own doing, they can't blame the engine supplier any longer. To me all the failures point out fundamental issues with the car, it has to be packaging and lack of cooling, and that's all on Mclaren. Can you imagine if they DID have to raffle (if renault refused engine) and they ended up with a Ferrari engine? We wouldn't hear the end of it how Ferrari are deliberately supplying Mclaren with wonky engines.
Well, ''practice makes perfect''........so more practice required, not the end of the world just yet. I'd give them all 3 races, then see who are the happy bunnies, and who gets covered in egg. For my money, Alonso will be in too much of a hurry to prove he's a good driver, and sod the car.......he'll break it, and give them the keys back. NOT the man for job that has to be done at McL. Not saying he isn't good, but now in the wrong car........and his own fault. He is one of the best, for sure, but not the greatest.......those, for me are the guys who used to race wearing open neck shirts, and occasionally, a bow tie. Flat out, full opposite lock, elbows out......and lucky to survive....if at all. Not many did. Today's drivers ? No. F1 is sanitised, safe, and far too PC........and currently, heading downhill all the way.
