Ok, Ferrari claims its battery pack for LaFerrari is 66kg, which is 145lbs. You want to explain to me what makes up of the other 692lbs? Fluids??
You have to compare the DIN weights or the CE weights (= DIN weight + 75 kg, the average driver weight). Ferrari dry weight means NOTHING ciao
The true Ferrari weight is reported on the car documents and on some magazine too. They have the bad habits to use that fantasy dry weight since the 308 times at least (43 years ago). On the Ferrari site you can find the DIN weight too ( with the lightest possible configuration of the car). 488 GTB is 1475 kg (3257 lbs), a figure closer to the reality than that stupid dry weight. Then add other 50 kg (111 lbs) and you will have the real average car weight
Here are the 69 pages of the first 488 Pista Personalization Programme! This not-so-little document will keep most of us entertained, confused and undecided for many hours, and hopefully, eventually very happy! Have fun!
What are your thoughts regarding wheel options on page 18? I’m specifically referring to standard rims (Cershio Standard) vs. the upgrade silver rims (Argento Nurburgring painted forged - RMSV). It seems like the standard wheels are simply a little darker. I don’t see any other difference. May be a great choice for those that think the silver wheels are a bit too bright but the carbon fiber wheels (and black) is too dark. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Agreed, I really like the design and color of the Cershio standard ones, being a bit darker than the silver. I am considering the CF ones solely for dynamic reasons, because the design and color (especially with this white paint treatment inside) are not my taste. It the CF ones would be as heavy as the normal ones, it would be a no-brainer and it'd go standard!
I love the grigio corsa opaco...I have the forged wheels in that color on my 488. I think I will go for the "standard" ones, I really love them....If I don't go completely crazy for the one in CF, really scared about to damage them, italian roads are not so good recently.
Anybody knows exactly how much is the price for a "special" color? Like blu corsa, rosso fuoco, giallo tristrato? I know that historical colors are around 9k euro in italy. In my 488 configuration sheet the prices for historical and special is the same but I don't know if triple layer are considered special or something more.
Actually the dry weight is the more relevant figure. It is not the actual, on the road, vehicle weight but it is the actual weight of the mechanical components. The LF's wet weight is about 1580 kg with a full tank of fuel.
In daily driving, it's slow and doesn't change up or down smoothly unless you lift the throttle. When 'on it', in the hardest setting, I love it. But I would have picked a manual if I could, but manual Tourings don't exist...
