In the Ferrari Alternate Universe rare cars and special editions outperform that. A manual 456M, for example, is about 75% of new right now. Automatics are at about 25%.

    I've watched 2+2 Ferraris since 1973.

I was contemplating a 456 manual a couple of years ago but
never found a desirable one and the prices kept escalating

    my 2+2 data points:
My 03 456M GTA sticker was 238k (3900 miles). My 09 612 OTO (6600 miles) was $360 and my 12 FF was $372. Not sure what the 456 or OTO are worth today but my FF has 27k miles and i think if i sold it privately id get 140k.

I went to see this car, it is perfect. It is a great buy and a lovely car but I think I have opted to go with a Pre-Owned FF.

I've always been a new car buyer but seems like the best entry point for 2+2 Ferrari's is used

Thanks - was very lucky. It may come back if not sensible money.

I'd say less than a year. 9 months.

That's exactly the prediction I started this thread with. I think it's an ambitious estimate but also self serving for me :D

Slightly used ones are probably already $50K under, so $50K in the next 9 months seems pretty likely to me.

Most uber luxury "commuter" depreciate massively in the first year -- Bentley, RR, AM. It's a Ferrari, but it's not a super cool Ferrari and they often have insane MSRPs. $350-400K for Ferrari people mover will tank just as quick as other cars in this segment.

I'd be surprised if people are even paying MSRP for new ones...

My guess is very soon. They are popping up on the used market (in the US) at a fast rate, while selling at a much slower rate.

I doubt they are sustainable at these prices.

I wonder what % of buyers are purchasing them because they "have to" (or with other motives) versus those who just really wanted a GTC4..

I hope sooner rather than later. A couple I like are already at 20% off sticker. I’m definitely not buying new in this one.....

A friend and I were just having this discussion. My local dealer required that I buy their Lusso if I wanted to order an 812. I decided to go with the F12 instead. I think the majority are required purchases for other models.

Certainly a lot of people buy them to get a better position at their dealer but you would be surprised how many order Lusso specifically.
Although, most of them would be ROW, in US these games are more prevalent.
My wife's incoming car was ordered for her as a new daily driver not to improve her or my chances for Pista or 812, both I don't care about anyway.

Since you paid the price of entry might as well get a Pista (virtually no resale hit) ;)

I purchased one because I liked it. There are not many of us around there, 3-7 per dealer tops

I put my order in for the same reason. It ticks a lot of boxes for me and I am super excited to have it.

Pointless for me, live too far from the track, that car is no fun on Chicagoland streets (as my Scuderia was not too) and I don't flip cars.

Considering that car.....they are at $131K plus my 6600 mile, 2013 458 Italia, Grigio Silverstone, nicely specced at $281K MSRP.....so essentially $305 for the car and $174 on the trade.....honestly I don't know if that's a solid offer on the 458 or not.....not super familiar with the market on used 458's....
