No espn 3 here Gonna be a long season Hopefully some stout fellows here will post links for those in need
Completely agree. I am also worried about podium presentations and interviews. Just looked ahead and they only have 1 hour for quali and 2 for the race. Pre and post race may very well be gone....
If you don't mind waiting, torrents is the way to go. I black out all social media and news till I download the race from https://www.racingfor.me I don't have to wake up a zero dark thirty in the morning to watch the races or find a crappy pixelated stream. All practice and qualifying sessions are uploaded on top of the races, and in full HD. They're usually available within the hour from being broadcasted live, give or take. I'll see if I have any invites available.
I've never heard of ESPN3. No worries though, as I will only watch what is convenient since I cannot stand the halo and proliferation of aero bits, not to mention the sound or lack of it. Been following F1 since the sixties and the current version has little appeal to me. Kind of liked it when it was more raw and dangerous. JMHO.
I can't find ESPN 3 and apparently I don't have the subscription to ESPN News. NBC was way better already.
The first races are on ESPN2, practice sessions on ESPN3. The "3" is not usually for the top events, it's an online streaming app you can get. Speaking of TV coverage, this Australian truck racing is fun to watch, and I think the multiple moving cameras help make it more interesting. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1199189526881087
I am glad to hear this although it looks like I am late to the party. I have Directv now and ABC is the only "air" channel I get but I do have ESPN etc as well. This move will keep me watching F1 where as before I thought I would be one of the lost fans.

I haven't used it since the season ended, so i didn't know if I had any invites. You can still find torrents of the races on the pirate bay and other places, just not guaranteed like it is on RFM.
That's American truck racing in Australia. Stadium Supertrucks, owned by Robbie Gordon. Great stuff. Robbie really understands how to entertain the crowd.
I agree, very disappointing. I know we have not seen anything yet in terms of coverage, so it is early days...but based on the televised schedule alone, looks dismal...I hope I am wrong
I changed my DVR settings because it was still set up for the old network. Don't forget it's on a different channel this year!
So have scheduled 60 minutes of practice on Friday night, one hour of qualifying on Friday night, 2 hours of the race on Saturday night. One question is what happens when a race runs long from a red flag or rain delay. Also, no wrap up afterwards anymore. F1 is SHRINKING in the US, not growing. Liberty is going in the wrong direction.
DVR Alert: 'Formula 1: On the Grid', ESPN2, 11:30pm - 12:10am, prior to the start of the Australian GP. Word is that this is Sky F1's Pre-race coverage. You're welcome!
FYI ... My guide shows FP3 on ESPNews at 9PM CDT. Should be 10PM CDT. Better build in some extra time on your recordings...
