Hi, this is my first post here.
i'm a french owner of a 1981 Mondial 8. I bought it 4 years ago as a "barn find" out of order.
It had 3.2 bumpers and a QV engine in the place of the 2V engine.

I restored the body last year and I kept the "3.2 look", the original color was Argento 101/c but it was red when i bought it, I restored the body to the metal and choosed to repaint it in Nero 1240 "tropicale"
I also changed the TRX wheels and put the superformance gold 5 spoke 16" wheels with brand new Pirelli P7 tyres.

I've done a lot of things like replacing the bushings of the wishbones, but the car looks too high on wheels.
    I want - 30/-40 mm

I can't find how to lower it..

I noticed that the 348 2.7 shocks look like the Mondial ones and they are adjustable.. Any idea if they fit into a Mondial ?

    Thanks

Is it possible you fastened the wishbone nuts with the car on a stand. So the wheels where floating instead of resting on the floor.?
Do you have a spare wheel in the front bonnet...the weight of a original wheel there will drop the car also.

Our cars have the same constalation....lesser weight because of the 3.2 bumpers instead of the heavy OEM. Lowering by cutting the springs can be done...no need for other shocks.

My QV from 1982...without any transformation on the shocks.

Same here, full size spare in the front, why does it sit up so high... Rear looks good but would love to lower the front.

Love the gold wheels btw, Raptor.

The car was on jackstands but I put a hydraulic jack under the wishbones before tighten the nuts as if the car was on the floor. But the spare wheels is not in the car, that's true.

You can always ask Stefan for spare springs. http://www.redbaycars.com
Or find other lower springs. The springs are regulating height.

Hello Raptor (do your friends call you that?),

you may find this could do the job:

Ferrari Mondial H&R Gewindefahrwerk (adjustable shocks)

    Artikelnummer: GFW-28-705-1/1

if you only want to do the front, you'd need these items

    Vorderachsdämpfer: G46-28-0705-1/1

    Zusatzfeder: ZF060-80-012

    Federteller: HR90-X148A01

    Rennfeder: HRF250-60-050

Mister Bilgic has been very helpful to me in the past,
