This has been bugging me since I have owned the car, my OCD is making me finally sort this [IMG]

See picture, the horn symbol in yellow has partially come off.
I'm not going to buy a new Horn just for a tiny speck of paint, so does anyone know what paint type/code to use please.
I would of thought its a standard type throughout the Ferrari models.have also asked on CS but no luck so far.
Have tried searching the web but not able to pin it down, please help or point me to a Site
    Many thanks

I know your problem that would niggle me too! Many paint shops have colour scanners / spectrometers that can analyse and match colours.

Alternately you could remove the rest of the yellow "horn" paint or paint over it with black. Of course you may not be able to sleep at night after doing so depending on your adherence to authenticity. Too bad that it constantly stares at you when driving the car. I can see it being maddening.

The reality is that you could choose a paint that was several shades off and you would never notice the repair. Take your horn button out and go to a model shop. There you will find lots of small paint containers and you will be able to match the colour by eye. The tip of a pin should be all you need to fill the paint that is missing.

Any talk of getting the colour computer scanned to match all over an $80 part is complete nonsense. Talk about a waste of time and money.

Correct, go to a hobby shop and buy three small enamel bottles of paint for models. A yellow that's as close to the original yellow on the horn, a white to make it lighter if needed and a black to make it darker if needed. Put some yellow paint on a flat surface and add the other two colours using a toothpick as needed to blend the yellow to the correct tone. Use another toothpick and fill in the chip. DONE.
I've done minor touch ups like this all over my car and the results are undetectable.

Thanks for replying all, I just ordered several small modelling pots of yellow paint from amazon and will report back which yellow I used.

The computer "scans" are free, but the scanner needs a much bigger area that what is available on the horn button. I could not even get a good scan for the red on my ignition coils.

Instead, an automobile paint supply store will have a book of color swatches - just like a hardware store has for house paint - which you can use to find a near identical match. They can custom mix a small container for you. Its still going to cost you $15-$20 though.

I think enamel modelling paint would work better though.

Both are good ideas, nail varnish and enamel model paints.
I'll let you know the outcome when amazon delivery appears :)

    Update
This is the closest I've got to matching it up so far out of half a dozen yellows from amazon and a few yellow nail varnishes :)
Remember also it's a photo so hard to get an accurate representation.
But by my eyesight it's looks 90% + ish a match

Unless someone can still pin down a colour code, who would of thought it would be this difficult?

As I mentioned, if you buy a small bottle of plain white and black paint you can mix it with that yellow paint and get thousands of shades of yellow. One that is guaranteed to match the horn logo perfectly.
