    Have put a deposit down.

Cuio Interior. Is the Opaco worth 12Grand ? It looks great on the launch portofino .

    Please advise.

not from any practical or sensible perspective. the portofino will depreciate massively so only you know if the possible marginal unit of pleasure you might receive is worth 12k.

Agree with TT. I'm glad the original owner coughed up the 12K for avorio on my Cali. [emoji3] Color is a biggie option to me, as it defines the look of the car. And, a Ferrari is eye candy on 4 wheels in addition to all the automotive and technical marvels. If you love the color enough, pay the upcharge. I would advise to try and see the contending colors in the flesh, and under different lighting conditions, to see if it is worth the $$$...T

I spec'd Argento Nurburgring because I like the color, it is what my Cali T is. My daughter insists if I get one that it be Grigio Silverstone after the viewing last night.

Only if you really love the satin paint. My observations is that Ferrari with Opaco paint tend to be harder to sell.

Are you sure about the $12k for the paint?
Usually the matt finishes are closer to $38k

For that, I'd have to really love it or have a ton of extra cash I'd be willing to burn instead of investing it. Everyone's in a different situation though. Me personally if I wanted a color but it was going to cost $38k, would seriously consider getting a wrap done.

That's what I have been advising my clients to do; much better ROI

The aluminio paint is certainly 12k

I think the "triple yellow" on the super fast is 38k. It does look amazing no doubt. And I would say the price for that could be justified.

I wouldn't pay 38k for the alumino. But just look at the portofino in it. It is SO worth 12k. This paint looks better on the portofino than it did on the f12.

Not to be sensible Susan too much, but I was in at my dealer the other day and he said any matt colour is a complete pain to wash. You can’t take it to a wash facility and so you either need to do it very carefully yourself (he didn’t go into the details) or get in done by a specialist place each time to avoid flat spots in the paint. Yes it looks cool but is it worth that hassle?? Get the launch colour, protect it with a full body film... and find something else to worry about :)

I'm sorry, but $12K for a matte paint that is an additional expense to detail seems completely illogical to me. I'd put one of the Argentos on the car if you want a silver.

Just FYI, I spoke with the best detailer I've ever seen and asked about these new opaco finishes and he said its actually easier to maintain and keep clean. I think the info about how difficult they were was from about 10 years ago when these matte finishes first hit the market.

Yes, the Matte Alumium is indeed 32k. I still want it, thoughts ?

The only other Ferrari color that really stands out for me and worth paying a premium for apart from alum opaco is the triple yellow.

If you want it, pay up! [emoji2] There are car options that I'm sure you can learn to live with. Or do without. But, color - exterior and interior - to me, is the biggest. Especially a drop top. In the big picture, 32K is not a lot of money in the overall price of a new Ferrari.
