That goes on the left side drivers side . Behind the dash. The little small louver vent. Sensor for cabin temperature control.

Oh my, that leather is quite wrecked and stretched. Good luck in restoring it. I just finished sorting out my dash and ended buying replacement parts (as I am not as handy as you). Ended up going to Ferrparts and Eurospares.

Didn't get much done today as my F355 has been playing up so needed to look into that problem.

Did manage to start working on the interior bits. I will attempt to improve all the imperfections and re-colour.

1.First it was a good clean up.

2.Then a light sand down to remove the rough bits

3.Then first layer of flexi filler

And thats as far as I got ......

The dash top is to far gone to repair. Again I will try my skills at making a new one, not done it before so don't expect anything marvellous

Also the part that sits in the centre console and usually has seat beats in its of no use to me here in the UK, I have already modified the seatbelt system to be UK spec. So I might try and also fill those two belt slots and recover ????

Wow Scott, that looks like a great start on the leather restoration! Maybe I can pick up a few tips from you along the way. I never knew about the Flexfill.

I use a company here in the Uk called 'Furniture Clinic', Ive used their products to do my seats on 308 & 355 before with some decent results. Nothing on this Testarossa scale but always keen to give it a shot. Anyway the guys at Furniture Clinic are super helpful and really resourceful for all interior issues. They also have a few handy videos and tutorials online and on YouTube

Im just using a leather I bought a few years back on ebay to recover my old 308 panel shelve. It was a cut off hide for about £30

Its been in a box ever since so has a few creases, hence the iron :)

    Scott,
Replace that plastic backing on the upper dash with something like ABS . My original was cracked and broke. I was able to salvage the original leather.
