I think Stroll has invested in Hilfiger but is not engaged with them anymore. I think he sold his shares and moved on (Michael Kors f.e.). But I can be wrong....

I did not see the post racing interviews....did Seb take revenge for the "wiping the smile off your face"-comment?

How's that old saw go? I'd rather be lucky than good? I think that applies to this race.

    Not much to see there...
He says he and the car could have gone faster had he and team known they were vulnerable to the VSC. Quite right...

When one is looking for things, you are sure to find them.

"Everyone in the team is feeling it, but there's so much great work, there's so much positivity to take forward with us. We still got second today. It feels like a dark cloud, but it's still a positive result.
We've got a great car, we are still the world champions, and with a couple of adjustments we can win the next race. I believe that."

What he needs is to drive faster.

After the SC he should have been right with HAM since HAM's pace was dictated by VET. This suggests VET would have built a gap to RAI if/when he was ahead.

Also, unlike RIC who was glued to RAI's tail at the restart, RAI should have been hounding HAM instead of allowing HAM free rein to attempt jumping VET.

+1 the 'pinnacle' should allow drivers to race, not 'manage' Sad that + the aero that actually prevents closure and then 'racing'. Lack of grid girls is not the issue at all.

Great for Ferrari today but as you point out qualy is an issue and with aero and the engine management requirement, passing is not a given even at circuits that are better for it.

Great to see Mclaren being more competitive with the move to Renault power vindicated.

Ferrari need to develop now and quickly as It was apparent Vettel knows what they face vs Mercedes. Red Bull need an engine. Hard to read Kimi but he and Bottas have about the same tendancies vs their team mates in terms of pace. Inconsistent.

For race 1 it was not bad overall. The Haas made Red Bull look weak. Love it!

Kimi out qualified Vettel, got a good start and was keeping up with Lewis the early part of the race indeed setting fastest lap etc ..in fact it was Vettel who was falling back a bit.

Kimi was the first one to pit, his tyres where 14 laps older than Vettel

There is much too much management of the drivers on the track ...speed up,strat whatever, manage tyres ,fuel save, conserve this and that.

So the driver is becoming totally dependent on the techie telemetry info etc.

Give them a car they can race flat out from start to finish!

Fernando absolutely schooled Max today. Awesome. Terrible luck for some others out there today though. Heartbreaking for Haas and even Lewis/Kimi who drove better weekends than Vettel.

Kind of ..but dont forget that Max had damage to his rear diffuser,so considering that i think he did not too badly.

Ironically this plays into the hands of Ham. He doesn’t have to out think his opponent. Just drive as per team instructions having used party mode to bag pole on Saturday. Dull.

Hmm maybe ,but given the chance i think Lewis would relish just a straight dog fight from start to finish.

What an "odd" race for Max.

Looked squirrely from the start...Spins on that first turn....damaged diffuser then avoids a penalty by passing Alonso under the VSC and then giving it back.....odd indeed.
