Just double checking on this. My understanding is the 8th digit on the VIN is the region code. According to the photo that is "L" which is Latin America/central America and sometime middle East and Korea. Love the car. Beautiful spec. My understanding is the US market cars are marked "A". While the specs of middle East and American cars are about the same my understanding is that they are considered different for the purposes of registration. Please help me understand if what I wrote is incorrect. And, apologies, if it is not accurate. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
The L means latinoamerica, wich is Panama my country, but this car is maded by 100% US spec, for that reason can enter to USA, register it and get a new and clear title! Of course i will pay the 2.5% introduction tax! Any other question feel free to post or contact me, thanks!
Interesting. Thanks for that. Just a little puzzled because some years back I found a nice 599 GTO in Dubai. It was middle East spec which is identical to US spec but in addition to paying the 2.5% according to the importer I spoke with said I would have had to have the car federalized and the appropriate federal emmissions proof from Ferrari etc. It ended up being a no go die to cost and complication. Fir this spec it sounds like you are saying it is different. Namely "L" spec you are saying it has the DOT glass. And there is a US conformity sticker conformity sticker on the car? Middle east is different story! I will post pics when car is at Miami with tittle, the good thing is already has some buyers interested on it! Thanks!
GLWS Btw, the question was does it have the US conformity sticker? Would really be helpful to know that as it will significantly open the market up for cars that can be brought into the US..especially since it would include f-cars in Venuezuela that are in dire need if rescue!
