I’m looking for a good tool to r&r all the suspension bushings in the 456. Any suggestions or advice?

Thanks for the link. Lots of good info there. They look like they are using one of those large floor style presses. I was hoping to get something smaller. Any other suggestions?

Hi Stu, a really large bench vise might do,or else you might be able to rig up something with hefty threaded rod and washers/spacers. Good luck,Mike PS a local resto shop or machine shop should also be able to help you out

Those 456 bushings are really tight. Yes, you can use the threaded rod approach, but it's hard to start them straight that way and takes forever. If you have the room, a simple press is a good investment. Or bring all the arms and bushings at once to a machine shop and get a discounted rate to r & r.

I was thinking that about the machine shop. Harbor freight has a floor press that looks reasonable. Thanks for all the feedback
