Great pictures and a good discussion Thank you all I am trying to spec the car in Italy, so hopefully I can see many cars there. Certainly will help decide and hope it will be a great experience. That will delay probably 3 to 4 months But happy to wait with the 458. Not in a hurry, just would like the right spec for me.
I did my spec at the Atelier in the factory. Was a great experience and the staff are so helpful to try and help you choose the right colours for your car. I didn't find any pressure at all to add more options and in fact the sole focus was to guide and help when matching up all the choices. The car in the studio was a blue corsa spider with Nero interior. We took paint and leather samples out into the courtyard to see them in different light conditions to try and replicate real world light situations. Very helpful. I think it does help being able to see more cars in the metal so to speak - depending upon what is in build when you are there, however it can also serve to make you change your mind too when you see something you perhaps hadn't thought of! Depending upon what is in production, walking up and down the line and looking at completed cars once they have come off the the line does give you a great opportunity to see many different combinations. It's a great thing to do and will be interesting to know if you stick with your provisional spec you have in your mind once you've done the Atelier visit. Have fun and enjoy it. It's a great privilege we all have to be able to choose exactly how we want our cars built! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I might be part of the minority here, but I don't find the new Blue Corsa that great. I've seen it on a 488 Spider, and while it was nice, I was not wow'ed by it. In all honesty, it reminded me of the light blue you can see on the Mazda CX... Elettrico is the way to go if you want to stand out. The Elettrico 488 posted above is outrageously gorgeous.
One has to be careful with blues or the car may look too feminine... especially a Spider. Light blues are chick car colors.
Better not even start with grays! Too many options! Cana de fucille and all the grigios are all interesting! So many incredible options! In reality the all look good!
Paula, I think I can say with a fair level of certainty that you would never be driving an underpowered little chickmobile!
I love my rosso maranello but so many nice blues, I would definitely consider it next time (my R8 was sepang, matte blue and I loved it). I haven't seen very many in person, leaning slightly towards TDF but the blue corsa pictures I've seen here look really good too (they don't seem too light in the pictures). Did we ever confirm whether any of these blues are triple layer? Paula T.

The paint scheme was chosen by the owner and done by Ferrari in Italy. The owner started a thread about his tailor made blu 488 which you will find near the top of the 458/488 section now>
I think you have to be careful about colours viewed over the internet. These two are taken a few seconds apart. The darker one has extra ‘vibrance’ from lightroom (takes about a second to do). The lighter one is closer to what the colour looks like in real life. It’s Blu Corsa. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I totally agree. I just purchased a used Corsa Blue 488 with 42 miles on it. (yes that's 42). The color on the car is fantastic .
