hey yall. Just checking to see what yall do with your cars. I have 4 cars and 3 garages and I'm not going to let any new to me vehicle sit outside.

What solution have you come up with? I could:

Build more garage space (my ultimate solution_)
Rent an enclosed storage unit at the local ministorage
Get rid of a one car (last solution)

Yep, like flash said. If you have a high enough ceiling stack them. I got this 4 post lift for around $2k delivered. It’s lighter duty but plenty for lifting Ferrari.

Just curious, what is the minimum ceiling height needed for a 4 post lift solution?

9 ft usually works for most of f cars ..but you will need a high lift garage door coversion with shaft door opener

I have a large support beam running through my garage so afraid of installing a lift (don't trust that I would not hit the beam). I found a good storage facility to store my least used car (and trailer). For $60 per month, it is reasonable option to keep three toys.

I’ve been dismantling exotics on the side for sometime now. That’s one of the 5 360s I’ve done so far. I’m just gearing up to go at it full time and have 3 360 spiders on the way to me right now for dismantling. So if you need anything you know who to call. I usually sell parts at half what you see them on eBay for and way less than the big dismantlers.

I recently downsized from a 3 1/2 car garage to a one car garage on my current home.

I have a Jag, my Ferrari and and a Ford F150 as my DD.

I rented a 10x20 storage unit owned by a local garage that services classic cars, mounted a Schumacher solar battery maintainer on the roof, with the help of the owner. I swap the Jag and Ferrari out, depending on which car I want to play with at the current time.

Cost in my area is $89 per month for the 10x20.

The only downside is the limits of the solar mainaterer: went to start the Ferrari after 4 months storage, battery disconnect off during storage and she only showed 4.0 volts. Probably need to put a new battery in the Ferrari and jump starting was a pain, getting to the positive terminal on the Ferrari was a ******, so now the Ferrari resides at home, hooked up to a CTEK al all times and the Jag is in storage with the battery disconnected and the Schumacher solar hooked up to the battery alone.

A lift is nice, and i have one, but it is a MaxJax and only goes up 48" or so, ok for working on the car from a seated dolly, portable and removable, if you need the space, but not good for storage. Also, think about "drips" from the upper car getting on to the lower car if you go the lift route. Drip trays are available. Italian stored over British, French over Italian, your call, your cars, lol.

W'ell see how this works out.

9' should work for most sports cars, but SUV and a car will not. I have 9'-4" and easily does 2 ferrari/lotus/etc.

If you are super tight on height you need to check the heights of the locks/stop blocks as you need a few inches to go up and release so you can go back down

Another option in the car lift vein is the Autostacker, it has the versatility of a storage lift and yet has removable center panels for maintenance.

Alden, that's an excellent value for that size of space! I started renting the same size in west Orlando, for $129 per month.

I have two 10x20 units in SoCal for each Ferrari. $277 for each unit but I was notified that the units will be increasing to $325 per month.

It's at a US Storage in Gardena. Awesome place, management lives on site and each unit has electrical so I can plug in a tender.
