    Ferrari of Denver has a blue on cream 550. Can't tell, might be NART however.

    Thanks, yes saw that, nart blue. Very nice but not it. Also speed motors in doral has a blu sebring listed as coming soon...but iirc it also is a darker shade of blue.

    The car in my avatar is Blu Sebring (503/C). A little lighter than TdF or NART...

    BTW - I checked the Speed Motors website. They identify the car as a 1997. If it is true that the car is Blu Sebring - and it is a US model - then it is one of two special ordered in that color in 1997. I have the other one...

    and if you can believe my sleuthing OCD, I found this same car on an old listing in naples, FL with over 40k miles on it, but sold. Don't think I would have pursued it with that many miles. Gorgeous example, now a potential driver but no longer for sale.

    if you believe in f-register's database, and I tend to believe it is accurate, then the VIN checks out as blu sebring. There are 3 us 550s with blu sebring: 108709, 108979, 116694. 1st 2 are 97, last is a 99. There is an 97 EU 108338 and a 2001 barchetta UK 124142. Naturally there are many s/n without any color descriptions so there may be more, but this is what is known. Probably fat chance that MMassini will chime in on this, but he may know more.

    There was an Azzuro California 550 Barchetta for sale a while back. I don't think it was sold though.

    Marcel does not generally keep track of the mass produced, late model Ferraris. He probably has something on the Barchetta and maybe the Superamerica.

    Back in the day when 550s were built, an out of range paint color (you choose as long as it was a standard color for anybody) was just another option, around $3K. Not like now where it costs you an arm and a leg.

    Mine was special ordered by Miller Motorcars. Not sure if it was ordered that way for stock or for the first owner - who was former CEO and Chairman of the Board of JP Morgan...

    BTW - I am also a big fan of Azzuro California. Chose it for my Superformance Cobra. Fairly similar to the period FIA team color for the 289 cars...
