Jeff, wishing you a speedy recovery. I had a heart valve replacement at 44. Totally unexpected. Full recovery and doing great since then.

I think i had sex again after 2 weeks but she had to do the work :)

Glad you are doing fine and wishing you a full recovery. A good friend was no so lucky. Almost a month ago, he was at the Ft. Lauderdale airport waiting for his flight back to LA and the "widow maker" got the best of him. A 60 yr. old healthy chap from Scotland, he died on the spot. Service is this Friday...sad day.

Glad to hear you’re ok. These things always make me more aware of the impermanence of life and what really matters. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Glad your ok... Imagine if you were born 50 years earlier... nothing could have been done. In that sense, you are very lucky.

One of my partner docs was walking his dog at age 50, and died of a massive MI.

Another, who works out all the time, had a stent at the age of 40...

You can do everything right, and life still bends the wrong way...

I celebrated life by eating a greasy 16 ounce steak this weekend... tempting faith.

Luck has a lot to do with how long you live, when its your time, its your time...

Just got back from my 30 day follow up with my cardiologist and my blood pressure was 112/71 (excellent), EKG (excellent).

She lifted all of my restrictions and I don’t need to see her again for another 3 months, which is the only bummer as my cardiologist is cute. ;)

I am good to go, but still gotta take my pills for another 11 months and of course keep treadmilling 5 days a week which is no big deal.

Jeff, glad you're doing well. I had 99% blockage of my widow maker at age 50. I didn't have a heart attack but had signs that I ignored. I have 2 stents as well and was in very good shape when this happened. You'll be good as new, maybe better.
