I just completed the first 500 miles and here is my thoughts..........
I've been grateful to own or drive just about ANYTHING on wheels from the 1930's to current .
No matter what era some will never leave my collection.
The 720s has changed it all.
Anything front engine that is considered a supercar is just a GT as of today.
The technology of this car , the speed, the COMFORT and the FIT and Finish for under 1 million dollars is incredible.
Over the last 10 years as cars progress, most have lost their souls.
They are cold, and sterile and that goes across almost every car maker.
    They have turned into refrigerators.
Exceptions such as the 2005/2006 Ford GT "
The Ferrari 458 and maybe one or two others, the rest are just tools.
So the weather is warming up and the p zeros stick like glue in the warmer temps.
THERE IS NOTHING FASTER THAN THIS THAT A MORTAL CAN DRIVE SAFELY ON THE STREETS.
2nd , 3rd and 4th if hit just right sucks your entire body in like the tower drop at an amuzement park.
I had the windows down and yes my ARM can sit on the top of it, all these new cars the door height is up to your cheek, very closed in feel and no vision.
The vision, is like my uncles ww2 cockpit . There's no blocked vision. Compare it to any Lambo its a disgrace.
All the switch gear is metal NOT PLASTIC and NO KNOBS on the steering wheel.
Its VERY relaxing to the eyes without constant shock and screen over load!
I smartly disconnected my Bluetooth to the radio so I don't get 300 fing calls per drive!
The dyno by us shows the same as dragtimes, just about 800 at the crank and a little over 700 at the wheels!
It takes just a little time to get used to twin spooled turbos but once you do, EVERY other car feels like a dog.
For all owners, there are two antennas for the key fob to pickup, ALWAYS leave your key in the drivers front pouch which I didn't know existed or you can get the lost key pop up signal on the screen.
I don't know where they go from here, I don't know if I'm keeping it forever, all I do know is that 133 mph in my suit coming home from work on a farm road and heated electric leather seats....
This is the greatest car to date under 1 million dollars, with a second car far behind.
Planning a big trip, so stay tuned.
Cheer McLaren , just a wonderful iconic car.
250 GTO ,275 GTB, GT40 , FORD GT and THE MCLAREN 720 S icons forever.
Get one if you can, Its that great of a car!

    Rain, heat it's very solid
One or two reflash upgrades from mclaren
    But other then that
    It's just a head turner

I think Jay Leno has said something similar in regards to high priced options that remove 10-15 kg from a car. Just go on a diet it’s far cheaper!

2,600 miles for me as of today. I just don't seem to be home enough to drive it or it would be more. I do think the car feels quicker in terms of handling, but it's probably because I'm more comfortable with it now. It had a couple of minor glitches in the first few hundred miles that had it in the shop once, but it's performed flawlessly since.

Jam1 myself as well, I failed to mention having an early 2018....Mine had been the first with the rock screens installed by this time at the factory.
The dealer would insist on flat bedding the car to and from my house for even the upgrade software changes.
    The service has been wonderful.
Engine, tranny and rear are BULLET PROOF.
I have the complete luxury package with all leather interior, its a lot quieter inside.
You cant describe the vision or the h/p .
So like the old 570 when new we are the test bed drivers, just a wonderful car.
