    Does anybody have an idea why Ferrari decided that Bianco Avus will not be available with stripes?

    I spent an hour playing with the configurator yesterday and it did allow me to choose Bianco Avus with Stripes, yet the factory apparently sent out a bulletin saying stripes aren't available on Bianco Avus.

    It's been mentioned in a thread somewhere that heating the body again (to dry the paint of the stripes) could slightly turn the white to yellow.

    Not sure but it was mentioned in a thread that white may be reserved for the version offered to challenge car owners.

    Yes, I had to sign a waiver to use Bianco Avus with NART Blu stripes on my TDF because the heat from the second time through the dryer could effect the white with a slight tinge of yellow. My TDF was fine but the Pista with more carbon parts such as the front hood could be more of a problem.

    Looking at the shaving of the crankshaft, lightening of the flywheel and piston rods, ild be surprised that the idle will be stable or the idle will be higher.

    Certainly less mass so as to rev up faster.

    As you can see at 0:17, it idles consistently at quietly at around 1000 RPM:



    Even more extreme Ferrari engines (i.e. LaFerrari's) are civilised.
