    Hi, does anyone know how the section of carpet in front of the center console on the tunnel comes off? It feels like the carpet is adhered to a molded plastic or shaped metal piece that goes over the tunnel? It feels quite sturdy.

    There are several small screws at the corners that hold it in place, search carefully and you will find them. I think they are black, so unless you have black carpet, they should be visible if you push the carpet fibers aside.

    I have a similar "search" storey in mind, but it goes back to the 70's and is not suitable for posting here. ;-)

    That carpet is glued onto the fibreglass (or metal in some cases)

    Thanks, was actually really easy. Mine was an aluminum panel. Had to remove it to install some rivnuts for my fire extinguisher.
