    Celeste shades can be confusing to me. It appears from the paint swatches below that the earlier Italver Celeste Gainsborough may have been green tinted, as in the 250 SWB s/n 2009GT above.

    Later Celeste Gainsborough cars appear more bluish, which seems to jive with the later PPG swatch below.

    Given that Celeste can translate as “heavenly”, the bluish hue makes sense.

    I appreciate Marcel’s valuable input.

    250 SWB Berlinetta was not built by Pininfarina but by Scaglietti who used their own colors.
