Guys, its intresting to know how many confirmed pista's allocation we have here in FC.
I am on the list but am now seriously considering moving back given the announced pricing; so it's now likely someone else will get this allocation.
Mine confirmed also, it will it delivered by the 1st quarter of 2019. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Heard recently that for 2019 Ferrari may make only 488 Pista's anyone else hear that? Would not surprise me the margin on these cars are better than the 488's and if 2019 is the last year of the 488 could happen.
Considering the sales in France 488 GTB and spiders accounted for 50% of sales. Extrapolating this to a total production of 10,000 cars, that would mean about 5,000 488 Pista (if the proportion is the same worldwide); I tend to doubt that because the Pista is significantly more expensive than the GTB and Spider. However with a 50/50 split between GTB and spiders (again, based on french sales figures), continuing the 488 spider and replacing the GTB by the Pista would lead to a 2,500 units production for the Pista - that could make sense if the 488 GTB replacement is announced in 2019 and actually available by the end of 2019/beginning of 2020. That would also squeeze all Pista production to 2019, which would be a good move to secure the customers.
Pista will be available in 19' and 20' the 488 replacement wont be available until late 20' at best. Also Ferrari sold about 8500 cars in 17' not 10k. They are looking for 4% growth most of which will be from the Portifino and GTB. I bet no more than 2000 Pistas world wide and and roughly 800 or so for the US. Also factor that the economy is changing and there could be less demand.
My dealer keeps telling me only 800/1000 Pista coupes world wide No number on how many Aperta's will be built. Hard to believe!!
The F12 tdf was declared a LE with a 800 (799 claimed) units production; since many people are ready to pay a premium for exclusivity I cannot figure why Ferrari would not have declared the Pista a LE if the production would be in the 800 - 1000 units range. I expect the Pista production to be similar to the Speciale one (from 2500 to 3000, probably).
