Lets build an engine

The old prostate operation over with, now just have to recover. Before I had the operation I was started on this a 4 ltr engine. When I get time, I will post pics of the carbs, as they came to me. The short block is for the most part ready to go. Will get heads on next.

Well posted a pic of a new engine I am working on, for some reason it vanished. so lets start again. See pic of what I started with. the 3rd pic shows just some of the work necessary to clean all the small parts. I cannot believe the number of hours I have

The Saturday the 10 th pic shows short block. I thought it had vanished, just slow internet I guess.

 

When I first opened the engine, this is what I found, see pic. Nose of crank broken,,, next pic see damage to the gear. Then last pic these are rod bearings. Strange, as the crank itself was as smooth as it should be.. Anyway when I went back togesther
I checked each journal. Had crank repaired, you cannot even tell it was ever broken.

According to everything I can find the car is suppose to have a 350 engine, but this engine is a 4 ltr.

 

Anybody ever seen a Lamborghini crank do this??

Sorry I have not been posting for a bit, Dr. told me it would be at least one (1) more month till my body gets back to normal after the prostate operation, still have to sit gently, when I do sit down.

Beware of the guard dog!

She is one of 4 that patrol the shop. You get any where near and all 4 of them let me know. I find them better than a burglar alarm. I live on 20 acres and anytime anyone comes on the property they are barking like crazy.
They are all rescue dogs. I have been rescuing dogs and cats for over 20 years. I tell people if a cat or dog makes it to my property, I will feed it, take it to a vet, make sure it is cared for. Could not ask for better friends when you feel down.
I spend more on food for them each week than I do for me, but they are worth it.

Thanks Mike, getting better each day. Dr. told me last week it most likely will be at least another month till things kinda return to normal. Will be glad when I can really get back to the engines I am building.
