This is actually 10195 and not 09363. Pix taken 22 August 1987 in Monterey where it sold to Switzerland.
While in France 1975 this car unfortunately received a new identity (09363) which it kept for many years. It has finally been corrected and the car beautifully restored in the original Blu Sera, it hs also been factory certified and is now owned by a Mexican.

"Good tires," Bob mused, casually lighting a cigarette, "but certainly not great tires."

No. The car in your post has been restored and unfortunately lost its smile (grille opening). Happens all the time with certain restorers who don't have the old wooden bucks or owners who don't care.

Actually, I was also thinking, something different about this GTB 4. To read you this model just lost 10 points.
Too bad, the picture is above the benefits.

I saw the site of Hartley Jr, the car also comes with a game of Boranis. The alloy 275 remains impeccable, with +/-85 000 km in mileage.

Wasn't this car delivered with split rear bumpers and funky tail lights? Not a great look but I believe that these features were original to this chassis. It was chartreuse when Kirk White owned it and it was on the cover of one of his newsletters(in black and white) in period. The car was later crashed and stored for many years before being resurrected by Wayne Sparling. I recall that Wayne drove it from Florida to the FCA Nationals in Washington DC 2006 because it was his only car with air conditioning. A true enthusiast!

I don't think that I do. Wayne sold the car in one of the RM Amelia auctions several years back so you might check the catalog. As I recall it hammered for less than a steel 4cam in the same sale. Go figure.

Was s/n 9501 originally ordered by Baby Doc Duvalier of Haiti through Chinetti or was that another car?

Below is the 2010 RM Auctions video of the car featuring the late Wayne Sparling. Some of the features of the car at that time were not original to it such as the rear bumper/licence plate position, the outside boot hinges were removed. Yes, the steel 4 cam was sold in the same 2010 auction for $1.65m whereas alloy 09501 only fetched $1.265m which was down to the buyers there on the day. The buyer of steel bodied 09337 valued his time and wanted a car that didn't need any real work and it better matched his needs so paid more for it. I read that Sparling was disappointed with the price achieved for the car.

As you can see, the buyer/last owner of 09501 remedied the unoriginal features back to original and colour changed it to non original. I haven't seen the car in the flesh to comment on the quality of the restoration but it does look very nice and the colour probably appeals to more people. The car has Red Book Classiche Certification and has a correct restamped replacement engine.

09501 was originally ordered by John Annis. He didn't have it long as he complained to Chinetti about a noise in the engine. 09051 was taken back and Annis bought another 275 GTB/4 #10017.
