Was going to ask in the SoCal forum, but there seems to be more L.A. Rolls/Bentley owners here Asking for a friend.
It may depend if it's a vintage car, or something contemporary, but give Tony Handler a call for recommendations. His office # is 310-473-7773. He runs used parts ads in HemmIngs.
are these guys any good? I used to drive by fairly often. I believe they are close to Flash's home. http://www.rollsandbentley.com/
Via Google Maps & site, I see they have quite a few RR & Bentleys on site, a LR Tech *and* are next to "Lotus Home" - So much Win. "I am weak-ish on snatch" ~ joker57676
I would recommend traveling a little further to Pasadena British Motors. https://www.yelp.com/biz/pasadena-british-service-pasadena
Chris, Congrats on your purchase! Hope to have an early MPW DHC of my own in the the garage soon to keep my Shadow company. I've read your tech questions on the other Forum site. While you will get some useful advice, don't overlook the Australian RR website, which seems to have more activity. Don't freak-out on these maintenance items..it's worth the aggravation if repaired properly.

Took her out this past weekend. Stunning with the top down. I’m in love. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great looking car. But I really hope you have a lot of time and money. There are not too many people left who know these cars and willing to take them on to repair. Finding a shop or tech who is competent will cost a pretty penny, because they know they are one of the few willing to deal with such a car. Enjoy!!
I found a pretty good mechanic who can do the other half of the stuff I can’t figure out. I’ve been working on cosmetics and light engine work, and I’ve paid to have the other issues taken care of. The shop I’ve been using is less than a half-mile from my house. I actually walk down the hill to pick up the car. I want it to be perfect and I’ve budgeted to tackle the big issues. Biggest issue was a stiff ride, which has been fixed with new nitrogen spring spheres. Also replaced driveline parts, fixed a fuel leak and had a full service. It’s British. I get it. If it's of any help to give a rough guide as to what it costs to run one of these cars, I have had my Turbo R for just over 15 years now and I am fortunate to have a good independent specialist a couple of miles away, so I take it to him once a year (and in between, if required), with instructions to do whatever is needed to keep it in good order. I have done around 36,000 miles during that time and my service / repair bills have totalled about £44,000.
There's a guy who used to work at Saab Raffi - Went by "Shawn" - Really cool, fair, affable, quick, do-right Armenian dude who wasn't just the only competent mechanic ever at Franklin & Beachwood Gas with Lift Bays before it became a C-Store with Gas, but repaired anything, including Ferrari & Rolls. That sounds about right. My first trip to the shop was $3k. And that was to go through the entire car and take care of anything he saw that needed attention.
Fantastic car! Love it. Try to come to Queen's English car show tomorrow. Would be great to see it in person.
