sweet car, cant believe it was such a hit depreciation wise with those miles! If the owner wasn't going to use it wouldn't it have been better not to get the warranty going so the owner who buys it could get the full warranty?
As part of the sale process, when a new Ferrari is delivered the sale is reported by the Ferrari dealer to Ferrari North America, thus activating the warranty. There is no discretion as whether to activate the warranty or not, regardless of whether the owner drives it 200 miles or 200,000 miles. When this F12 delivers, our dealership includes a Ferrari New Power Warranty for the new owner.
Ryan could you in theory not title the car and leave it? I've seen older countach/Diablo that say they've never been registered and you could be the first owner. With a car like this, if the owner is buying it but not planning on using it, is that possible? Would that keep the full original warranty available?
Titling and reporting the car sold to FNA are unrelated. If a dealer orders a Ferrari for a client, Ferrari North America expects the car to be delivered in a reasonable time after arriving to the dealership. When a Ferrari dealer delivers a new Ferrari to a client, the sale is reported to FNA and the warranty starts.
