Would also need to add the 365 GTC/4, 365 GT4 2+2, 400, and 412 to this list, all using the Koni version as well.

    Cheers!

My rear shock has been completely destroyed. Where can I buy a pair? Doesn't have to be OEM...

I presume you will need to replace the accumulators as well...

    damage looks consistent with others

Super performance - UK sells new but only in pairs. TRy GT car parts for used then to Delta Vee for rebuild.
    Amazon for accumulators off BMW.

I think I have a spare one that's in good shape but I'd send it off to be re-sealed just to be safe. You need both or just one of yours is split?

Thanks for your great post. My 456M GTA experiences the soft / bouncy symptom on the right rear and feels not very stable while corning. The previous owners had rebuilt the left rear shock due to oil leak and told me he changed both accumulators about 2 years ago. I can't be 100% sure the right accumulator has been changed. I can't find any oil leak on the right shock.

However, I have 2 more symptoms at the right rear shock, 1) I hear hissy noise sounds like air leak while driving thru uneven road. As the shock having harmonic motion gently bouncing up and down, the leaky noise sounds very much like pumping a ball pump back and forth. 2) after I parked the car, for a few minutes I can hear some motor/actuator activating every 30 to 60 seconds for a 10 seconds duration. Sounds like the right shock trying to do something. But I don't see any up/down leveling movement. After a few minutes, the sound will be gone.

Does anyone experience these symptoms? Where can be the air leak and how can I check it? Should I just go ahead and change the accumulator?

The safe answer would be a shock rebuild from Delta Vee for both rear shocks and new accumulators. Given the age of the cars and the unknown state of things, you might consider rebuilding the front shocks as well.

PSI in CA is an alternative to Delta Vee. Some have had trouble getting Delta Vee to provide timely service and communications.
