Gang, I took this photo some years ago south of Turino, in Bella Italia. Anybody any idea from what it came? ...and - is it a Ferrari (I can`t see the badge on the nose nor can I see the pressed position for it in the metall!)??? Please forgive me my little knowledge about Ferrari. Ciao! Walter Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here is a period pic of it: http://www.barchetta.cc/All.Ferraris/events-stories/events/2006/rallye-races/mille-miglia-53-and-54/mille-miglia-1953-gallery-02/ferrari-250.html http://www.pirro.com/english/all.Ferraris/Detail/0254MM.250MM.htm
As Kare pointed out, I should have writen : "body of 250 MM berlinetta PF s/n 0270MM to make replica of s/n 0254MM..."
Is it for sure, it's the 0254MM. I've never seen that kind of a hole on the right side of the car on a 250MM. Only 0310MM has a hole but a vertical en smaller one on both sides of the car. The period picture of 0254MM is one of the left side en there is no hole.
Same body not long ago. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Agree with you Walter : 250 MM PF berlinetta is very nice but a Maserati A6GCS PF is more beautiful !!
The louvered bonnet leaning up against it looks like a fiberglass front clip for a replica Jaguar C Type?
A white 250MM sold a few years ago at the Bonham auction in Monterey for a really low number. A steal IMO. It was one loud car. Geno
Looks like to the ex-factory PF berlinetta that was sold to Gerino Gerini (0292/MM Pf job 11194, later renumbered 0352/MM). If yes, this car had been raced by Gerini, later exported in South America and never reappeared since...
Well.. Finally, I wonder if the b/w pic doesn't show 0252/MM Pf job 11188 in 1953 after all... It would be more logical.
