Need help rebooting/troubleshooting the iDrive for 06 Rolls Royce Phantom. The radio DVD are no longer working and screen goes blank and gauges will get funky once in a while. Checked all fuses, front and back, no issue there. Was thinking a reboot may help but not sure how to do that without disconnecting both batteries. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Dealer is last option as nearest one is 400+ miles away! Cheers!
Since (I'm guessing) it's BMW based, these reboot steps might apply: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=485639 http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=254420 Document in Post 15: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=233573 Open document and Page 71 has more detailed info.
Thanks for the links, I found the same info unfortunately the process they describe does not work on the RR.
Checkout Bradan - they are working on a 2004 Phantom - https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/bradan-phantom-service-paint-upholstery.569065/ Maybe they can help as they have the RR computer system. Thanks, Erik
Are you actually based in CT? I have the rolls computer and can diagnose this for you. Email [email protected] or call 631 585 8600.
