I have twin daughters and am thinking of buying both a rolex watch. Is there any way to get a good price on new ones?

Look around. You might be able to get 15% off. 10% most likely.

A fellow FChatter, whimike, sells Rolex watches. I can highly recommend him. Shoot him a PM and see what he can do.

I got my Rolex Datejust S/S as a wedding gift (10 years ago). It will become an heir loom. I know it doesn't sound great but try pawn shops. Mine came from one in Las Vagas and then was reconditioned. It's worked flawlessly with only routine maintenence.

Rolex watches are one of the hardest to bargain down out of the premium watch market. My best bet is that you can get at most 15% off....unless you have a watch dealer connection.

too bad the dollar is so incredibly weak. I bought one in Europe a couple of years ago, got the VAT tax refunded and saved a bunch. I think I ended up paying about $2,800 for a $4,500 U.S. retail watch without haggling at all.

btw, I think I read that Rolex US did/will raise the prices in March.

A watch connection will likely be the only way to break the 15% discount barrier unless you find someone who has to move two watches quick.

Cjeck on Ebay. Also, if you go to some of these high-dollar antique shows there are typically some travelling jewelers who sell them. I have a very good friend that I have bought my 2 Rolex and my wife's Rolex from and he has great deals. PM me and tell me what model you want.

rolex Dealers can take 10% off routinely and up to 15% off without losing their franchise. Take more than 15% off..get caught..adios Rolex.

Discount depends on model. Submariners..forget about it!
I have a source ...if anyone wants to email or PM me I'll try to help.

They are certainly a beautiful watch. Not sure how much of a deal you can get, but this is where I got mine:
